How do I purchase tickets?

Online and any remaining tickets (subject to capacity) will be available to purchase at the entrance.

How can I get to and from the event?

If you are local, it is advisable to walk to the event. Alternatively, you can use public transport – there is a taxi rank, bus stops and a train station for easy access into and from Ashley Cross.

There is also a car park in Ashley Cross (with limited spaces), and limited parking on the roadside – please be considerate of our neighbours.

Do I have to bring a printed ticket with me?

You do not need to have a printed ticket – but are required to show it to us on your phone.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Under 18’s are required to be with an adult. If you look under 25, you are required to have proof of ID on purchasing alcohol at the bar.

What can I bring with me?
You can bring picnic tables and chairs with you into the event. Glass is not allowed to come into the site, so bag checks maybe undertaken (but perfume bottles and makeup are permitted)
Can I bring a picnic?
Unfortunately, no picnics (including glass) are allowed onto the site, apart from baby food, and dietary requirements.

Do you take card or cash?
If you wish to wait to the day to purchase your ticker (subject to availability), we only accept cash at the entrance. Many of the traders take cash only. So please be prepared and bring cash with you.

Are there any nearby cash machines?
Yes, there are local cash machines – however they have limited cash reserves, and always run out, so please be prepared.

Can kids access the Grooves Garden Area?
Yes, children can access the Grooves Garden area, if the adult has purchased a Grooves Garden ticket, and they are supervised at all times.

Can I bring my dog?
Yes, well behaved dogs are allowed onto the event, but must be kept on a lead at all times.

What disabled facilities do you have?
There is a disabled toilet in onsite. We provide plenty of staff for the event to minimise queuing. There are pathways around the site, for easy access to all areas. The viewing area of the stage is raised.

Can I leave the festival and return?
Yes, you will be issued with a wristband, so you can leave and return.

What are the terms and conditions?

By attending the event you are consenting to the following terms and conditions:

Tickets are not refundable under any circumstances other than cancellation of the festival. A ticket for the following years event may be offered instead of a refund.

Proof of ticket must be produced at the front entrance on the event day.

The festival management is unable to accept any liability or replace any tickets stolen, lost or damaged after being delivered to the ticket purchaser.

The festival management will not refund monies or exchange tickets if the programme has to be altered due to an event beyond its control.

By attending the event, you are consenting for yourselves and your children to appear in any photos and videos we use in future.

We reserve the right to refuse admission, or you may be removed from the event, if you are intoxicated, under the influence of drugs or a safety risk.

No alcohol, soft drinks or food is permitted to be taken into the festival (With the exception of baby food and dietary requirements).

Glass is prohibited onsite.

Well behaved dogs are allowed, but must be kept on a lead at all times

We accept no responsibility for any personal property. All lost property will be taken to the Information Tent. Any lost property will be kept for 14 days after the event. Any valuable items will be handed to the Police. Please email for any enquiries.

Children and youths under the age of 18 are the responsibility of their parents, or other legally responsible accompanying adult. It is important that children do not wonder off unsupervised across the site. Any lost children will be taken to the Information Tent.

We operate the ‘Challenge 25’ policy, if you look young enough to be under 25, you will be asked for ID when purchasing alcohol.



Grooves on the Green strives to be a festival that welcomes everyone.

All routes in and out of the site are wide enough for wheelchair access. We have pathways to facilitate easy access to all site areas.

Signs and staff will direct you to the right place.

Our stage is raised to provide easy viewing.

We have a disabled toilet onsite.

We have adequate levels of staff to avoid queuing, and stewards will be able to assist as far as possible.

Personal Assistant Tickets

We offer a complementary ticket for Personal Assistants (PA’s). We require supporting documentation from the accessible ticket holder. Accepted supporting documentation must include the below and must show your full name:

Blue badge parking & photo ID
Nimbus Access Card
D/deaf or blind registration
War Disablement Pension
Armed Forces Independence payment
CredAbility Access Card

Grooves on the Green has been rocking since 2000! This is where Ashley Cross, Poole and Bournemouth come together to relax, have fun and celebrate the community spirit that it’s famous for.  Ashley Cross is a brilliant, vibrant area that young families love just as much as those who have lived here a lot longer. Grooves on the Green likes to give something back to the community, so since 2000, Grooves on the Green has raised an incredible amount for charities. In recent years, Grooves on the Green have raised in the region of £45,000 for Diverse Abilities.

There is easy access into Ashley Cross, with nearby train stations, taxi ranks, and bus stops… So what are you waiting for….!
